San Francisco Earthquake 1906

One moorning of April 1906 in San Francisco was an earthquake with a magnitude of 7,9 and 8,6 degrees Mw. The tremors began at 5.12 am. along the San Andres fault until inside of Nevada. 
The earthquake caused a fire and until now it's the bigest catastrophe in the United States.
First the number of deaths was of 478, but now the people say that they had over than 3000 deaths. 300.000 people lost their houses and they went to live at Oakland and a part of Ingleside and North Beach  was cover for improvised tents.
After the earthquake and the fire more than 500 city blocks from San Francisco were in ruins. More than half the city's population became homeless.
