How useful are guidebooks to travellers today?

Nowadays guidebooks are not very useful because we have a lot of different ways to know about a country.

People like to travbel and to know about other countries: another habits, another food, etc. But nowadays most people don't buy guidebpooks. Currently if people want to be informed about these things they search on the Internet, it is easier and cheaper than to buy a guidebook.

Another point is that we don't have to take opinions from guidebooks or from Internet we have to make our own opinion. Often other opinions are not the same as our opinion, so we don't need guidebooks to these things.

In conclusion, I think that nowadays guidebooks are not very useful because people prefer to search as information on the Internet and take their own opinion.
