Nowadays all people rely on the referee's judgment during a match of football, basketball, etc. In all sports we have a referee and we rely on him. But can we always rely on him?
On the one hand, having a referee's judgment is important to value and evaluate the match, to control that they don't cheat. It is efficient and better than doing it with a machine, with new technology. With referees is more personal and people live the sport on this way more.
On the other hand, referees are not always successful because they are persons and people can make mistakes. What is more, people have preferences, so the referee can also have a preference. They can also be bribed.
In conclusion, relying on refree's judgment is not wrong but we have to be careful with bribes and preferences.
